Climate issues
the example of interventions for the 2024 Olympic Games

The present article aims to discuss climate issues based on their concepts and to draw connections with the applied case of the city of Paris. To this end, the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement and the city`s 2017 Climate, Air and Energy Plan were consulted, as well as the proposed plan for the 2024 Olympic Games. It also sought to present urban concepts and theories, of walkable cities and especially the new model of the “15-minute city”, thought by the professor Carlos Moreno. It will focus on the works carried out in the city of Paris, such as the intervention of the Champ the Mars and Trocadéro, near the Eiffel Tower and the changes planned for the Champs -Elysées avenue, analyzing whether the plan for the Olympic Games actually met its objectives. The result is that current cities need to adapt their urban fabric to be able to face the consequences of the contemporary world and thus become more sustainable by 2030, as planned by the UN.
